Description: Milan’s Cathedral took almost 430 years to complete from its 1386 inception to the façade’s finishing touches in 1813 under Napoleon. Dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan, and it’s the third largest church in the world, with 3,500 exterior statues and 52 massive columns inside.

Opening hours: The museum is open everyday except on: 7 December, 24 December afternoon, 25 and 26 December, 31

                          December afternoon, 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May, 15 August.
